This post is not only for Apple who put an external hard drive on her Christmas list to Santa this year, but anyone who wants to set a New Year's resolution of backing up their data.I have a 250GB external drive with USB 2.0 which I bought at Costco about 2 years ago. I just found out that Costco is carrying some great deals on Iomega external drives - one is even a portable (pictured on the left)!
You don't have to be a member to order from their website - but there may be a $5 surchage for being a non-member. But for a 360GB external hard drive at $99.99 I wonder if I should trade up?

I wish you hear my husband laughing in the background. It started when I got to the 360GB part. My computer only has 60GB so he figures I could never need that much storage. He just doesn't understand!

360GB? I have a terabyte hard drive on my Christmas list... Why not go for the gusto!
Now Jasia, you're just showing off. I purposely did not list the 1 and 2 TB external drives that Costco has for sale. Apple will just need to look for them. I'm sure her husband will thank me.
