She had cared for Grandpa during his battle with cancer and just gave up when he was gone.

1984 was on of the most joyful and at the same time one of the saddest years for me. Someday I'll have to write about it.Charley "Apple" Grabowskihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07193646109965731249noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8077536894458666315.post-90008543469974152032007-10-28T12:00:00.000-05:002007-10-28T12:00:00.000-05:00Thomas, my husband's (step) grandfather passed awa...Thomas, my husband's (step) grandfather passed away on 29 Jun 1997. He was the love of Grandma's life. She had a stroke Halloween Night and was found the next morning, sitting in the living room chair, with a bowl of candy, waiting for children to come to the door. She was hospitalized until her death a week later on 8 November. She had always been a very healthy, active person, and we all knew that the stroke was simply a result of her giving up after he died. They had married after most of their children were grown, and had had 41 happy years together.Miriam Robbinshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12021845886261585678noreply@blogger.com
