Passages - Malcolm Austin

I just got word this morning that my great uncle, Malcolm Austin, passed away in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Friday, December 3, 2010. In the above photo from about 1934, he is in the front on the right.

Malcolm Justin Austin was born in Manhattan, New York in 1929 and spent time growing up in Grahamsville,  New York. He was the youngest son of John Ralph Austin and Therese McGuiness.

My memories of Uncle Mal, as he was called, were of him living with his family right above my great-grandparents house over in Grahamsville, New York. I'm not certain when he moved to Pennsylvania but I believe it was in the late 1970s. The last time I saw him was in 2005 at one of our family reunions.

From the information I received, Mal was cremated and a memorial service will be held in the future.
